On Thursday, September 11th from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Central Time, the presidentially appointed J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board and the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas will co-host the "Fulbright for Food Security" global forum in Fayetteville, Arkansas. A panel of experts from around the world will discuss current initiatives pursued by Fulbright fellows and alumni to promote food availability worldwide and how viewers can bring further awareness of this issue to their communities. Audiences are invited to join the forum through a live stream online or in person at the University of Arkansas. Dr. Todd Shields, Dean, J. William Fulbright College of Arts & Sciences; Hoyt Purvis, former Chairman of the Fulbright Board and Professor of Journalism at the university; and Tom Healy, Chairman of the Board will introduce the forum. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board’s 264th quarterly meeting. The Board selects participants and sets policies for the Fulbright Program, a U.S. Government international educational exchange program supported by the people of the United States and partner countries around the world. Since 1946, more than 360,000 participants from over 165 countries have had the opportunity to study, teach, conduct research, exchange ideas, and contribute to finding solutions to shared international concerns through the Fulbright program. The J. William Fulbright College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Arkansas was named after the U.S. Senator who wrote the legislation for the renowned Fulbright Program.
