Attribution is on-the-record from Elizabeth Trudeau, Director, Office of Press Relations: Question: Can we preview the meeting between KMT Party Chairman Eric Chu and U.S. officials? Is the U.S. meeting with any additional Taiwanese candidates? If so, what issues will and/or have been discussed? Answer: We welcome KMT Party Chairman Eric Chu’s visit and look forward to discussing a wide range of issues with him, just as we did with Democratic Progressive Party candidate Tsai Ing-wen in June.
