Dear all,

We are pleased to announce that WFP Tanzania has partnered with MCC-PEPFAR, the Dar Teknohama Business Incubator and Data for Local Impact to run a national innovation challenge called Zero Hunger, Zero Aids. The challenge is calling for Tanzanian innovations that "help ensure access to sufficient, safe and nutritious food and increased agricultural productivity, while also helping food-insecure populations increase their resilience to health risks, including HIV/AIDS."

Selected finalists will have the potential to receive funding for their innovations, mentorship from experts, a pitch slot in front of investors at the Sahara Sparks "Innovation in the Data Age" event,  a trip to the WFP Accelerator boot camp in Munich Germany, a slot in the Accelerator's Sprint incubation programme and a chance to pilot with WFP Tanzania.

The application window is open now until September 7. Apply via the Data for Local Impact's website through Data for Local Impacts website: http://dliinnovationchallenge.or.tz and they will also find more detailed information on the challenge definition and related focus areas in the Applicant Resource Book, along with eligility critera, required supporting documents, and more information on the levels of funding available.

We thank you in advance for distributing this to your networks. For social media purposes, please use the hashtag #zerohungerzeroaids and be sure to tag @WFP_Tanzania, @MCC_Data and @DLIInnovation in your promotions. Additional hashtags of #innovationTZ and #datarevolutionTZ are encouraged.

Best regards,

Tiziana
