Press Releases: Cyber Coordinator Visits India for the Conference on Cyber Security and Cyber Governance 10/20/2014 12:01 PM EDT Cyber Coordinator Visits India for the Conference on Cyber Security and Cyber Governance Media Note Office of the Spokesperson Washington, DC October 20, 2014 Coordinator for Cyber Issues Christopher Painter traveled to New Delhi, India, October 13–18. Mr. Painter met with Indian government officials from the National Security Council, the Ministry of External Affairs, and the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology to discuss and deepen U.S.-India cooperation on cybersecurity, Internet governance, and international security in cyberspace. Mr. Painter also met with Indian industry and non-governmental organizations involved in cyber issues. Coordinator Painter also participated at "CyFy: the India Conference on Cyber Security and Cyber Governance" where he gave remarks on Internet governance, capacity building, and international cooperation on cyber issues.
