[wanabidii] Speech-Making Training

I just want to let those who expressed interest in the Speech-Making training that I'm still putting together the modules. I have 10 modules that should last 10 weeks, a total of 30 hrs of practice. Since this is not a face-to-face project, it might take longer than 10 weeks. I would prefer that the whole class move at the same pace in order to minimize the amount of e-mails back and forth.

In fact 50 people in total expressed interest and I'm thinking of creating a small forum so any any question asked by one person, and the ensuing answer, is seen by everyone. That cuts down on duplication.

So give me some 2 weeks and I'll start sending out lessons. I'm now at Module 6, mostly trying to think up Africa-specific situations that we can use as examples when learning to give a speech to a particular group.

You'll be shocked when you discover the tricks to being a good orator. It's all about preparation and confidence. That's what I'll help out with. There's a formula to the whole madness. No one is born with a natural talent to be a good orator; it's a learned skill.

I'm still with you folks. I hope you enjoy it as much as I will.
