MNAMO MWAKA 2007 MWISHONI NILIHITIMISHA RASIMU YA KWANZA YA KITABU CHANGU KIITWACHO "WHY MISSING EVEN THE BASIC NEEDS?" KWA UJUMBE UFUATAO:
"CONCLUSION:
Honestly, speaking it has taken me much efforts and time to figure out the best possible conclusion that would be very short but clear and to the point. While thinking, a certain idea suddenly popped into my mind, and the picture that I imagined is this: I saw a camel walking along the desert carrying the very heavy load and it was crying for the pains it was experiencing, it seemed to be highly frustrated and about to give up. On its back it was carrying three people and a lot of properties. Of the three people one seemed fat and very heavy and holding a weapon and eating and drinking too much with the conviction that life is too short and one has to enjoy it to the most. The second person seemed to be wise and with the normal physique of the healthy adult.
He seems to be holding a book full of reasonable and creative strategies of how to overcome ones difficulties. And he happens to be just, brave and with a good degree of self-control. On top of that his mind is thinking much on the suffering camel and the helpless seriously ill third fellow. This wise individual has reached a very high degree of self-actualization with the honest heart of service, love and care to himself, God and others. Because the man holding the weapon happens to be arrogant and cruel, he doesn't want to be criticized and to work upon the criticism however beneficial it might be. On top of that he seems to have destroyed a lot of honest and good individuals who happened to criticize him. This cruel man believes that he is the wisest of all and the strongest of all and thus he feels no need to learn anything new and to hear any advice from others.
Suddenly, the wise man basing on his experience and knowledge he senses the danger in front of them and he creatively try to warn the arrogant man who refuses to listen and intimidate the wise. Because of lots of

Honestly, speaking it has taken me much efforts and time to figure out the best possible conclusion that would be very short but clear and to the point.
Because of lots of
techniques at the end of the day the wise man manages to save the lives of the helpless third individual and the innocent camel but the arrogant man ends up in destruction. Now my question is what does this illustration show us in our real life? The answer that I get is that the crying and overwhelmed camel represents the poverty stricken country; the properties it is carrying represent the resources present in the country and the three people are as follows:
The heavy and fatty arrogant man represents the individuals who enter into different influential posts with the aim of accumulating wealth for themselves, and start abusing public properties to accomplish their greedy desires.
Furthermore, it represents those individuals who are arrogant to the extent of thinking they know everything, and thus ready to injure or destroy their critique. All the individuals with bad habits are represented by this man.
The wise person represents all good individuals who are just, brave, and who believe in keeping on learning from various good sources be people or good books, etc. Furthermore, he represents individuals who are highly determined to bring comfort into the lives of others as well, according to their capabilities.
The third group represents the vulnerable individuals in the society who have no sufficient wisdom, not self-reliant, are helpless, ill, very poor, seriously handicapped, old, too young, etc.
Now I am convinced that my message is conveyed though not very clear as I had expected. My call is that we don't deserve to keep on spending the great part of our lives thinking on the basic needs. If we really want to advance we deserve to work hard to help change our mentality and learn how to use our resources properly so that they may uplift us to the higher standard of living. I don't intend to be too repetitive by explaining or mentioning some of the weaknesses that pull us back regardless of the efforts done by others to help us advance.
Having discussed a number of internal weaknesses which are contributing in one way or another to our continuous sufferings, I am convinced to believe that this book will act as a mirror that will reflect the image of our society and help to show us some of the factors that we perhaps were ignoring. Apart from showing us a number of weaknesses it helps to point out the way forwards as in some of the subtopics it gives the examples of individuals who face challenges and make the very careful efforts to overcome them and end up by becoming very successful.
The good news is that identifying the problem is one of the very important steps of solving it if at all we are very highly determined to change. I do realize that it is very easy to build a certain habit but very difficult to break it. Thus, it will take much time to change the attitude of those whose bad habits have matured to the extent that trying to show them that they are wrong will not only create enemity but also may lead to serious negative consequences as they will feel highly embarrassed and humiliated and thus do everything they can to punish their critique.
It is here that I wish to call upon strong wisdom, understanding and tolerance to each other. And to warn those who are knowledgeable to avoid forcing to impart their knowledge into the minds of others who seem to be less knowledgeable or ignorant. Because that is very dangerous as the human nature always appreciate love and respect, however bad or good the person may be. Thus it is better to educate a person and to leave him/her to make his or her own choice.
We deserve to appreciate our differences as we can not all be equal and think in the same ways and perhaps our differences are what makes us who we are. But apart from all our differences we can not be self-sufficient and thus our wellbeing depend on the mutual service to one another.
So we ought to struggle to avoid unnecessary competitions which aim to prove our superiority to one another by participating in unreasonable arguments, quarrelels, and other unprofitable competitions. Our efforts should be to struggle to improve ourselves in different aspects of life.
My wishes is that this book will act as a catalyst to motivate those who are highly determined to succeed and to enable them see a lot of alternatives that may add to their treasure of developing the very strong self-esteem. We can live our life to the full and enjoy the happiness that comes from living the peaceful life with all the important needs that add to the meaning of our existence, but this is not very easy to achieve and therefore we ought to develop the very careful strategies that may help us reach where we want to be. May the almighty God bless us all to go beyond ourselves and be the blessings into the lives of others. " Dr. Najimu (2007)
MY TAKE TODAY: WE ARE NOT LIVING TO OUR FULL POTENTIALS! AND OUR TALENTS ARE HIGHLY NEEDED AS THE ENGINE OF TRUE CHANGES IN OUR SETUP! LETS WAKE UP!
