[Mabadiliko] English Grammar

Friday, June 21, 2013
Let's try this one today. I've noticed a few people here and there confusing Have and Having.

Here is a scenario:

Mwamburi is an IT professional. He gets a lot of contracts/tenders from international organizations such as the UN, AU, etc., and also from companies, governments and individuals. His job demands a lot of traveling to different locations around the world to undertake projects. Right now, he's in India doing a setting up a Network for a UN office in India. You meet Mwamburi today and ask him:

Hey, friend, long time !!!!!  What are you up to nowadays?

He replies:

I'm having a UN project in India as we speak.

Or

I have a UN project in India as we speak.

Which of those 2 sentences is correct?

Courage
