Assistant Secretary Countryman will travel to Astana, Kazakhstan, to attend the IAEA Fuel Bank inauguration ceremony August 27-28. While there, he will meet with Foreign Minister Idrissov and Minister of Energy Skholnik to discuss nonproliferation issues, visit the International Science and Technology Center, and engage with the media. From August 31-September 1, Assistant Secretary Countryman will travel to Bled, Slovenia, to deliver nonproliferation remarks at the Bled Strategic Forum.
