Press Releases: Meeting of the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL Small Group in Quebec City 07/28/2015 09:41 AM EDT Meeting of the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL Small Group in Quebec City Media Note Office of the Spokesperson Washington, DC July 28, 2015 Special Presidential Envoy General John Allen and Under Secretary for Public Affairs and Public Diplomacy Richard Stengel will travel to Quebec City for a meeting of the Small Group of the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL on July 30. General Allen and Under Secretary Stengel will lead the U.S. delegation to this meeting of the Coalition Small Group at the Political Director level to review Coalition operations and progress along the various lines of effort to degrade and defeat ISIL. While in Canada, Under Secretary Stengel will also meet with Canadian non-governmental organizations, religious leaders, media outlets, and other entities on the margins of the Coalition meetings. The Coalition Small Group last met at the Political Director level in Jordan on April 8, 2015.
