The Overseas Schools Advisory Council of the Department of State will hold its Executive Committee Meeting on Thursday, January 22, 2015, at 9:30 a.m. in the Harry S. Truman building, Conference Room 1105. The meeting will last until approximately 12:00 p.m. and is open to the public. This meeting will deal with issues related to the work and the support provided by the Overseas Schools Advisory Council to the American-sponsored overseas schools. There will be a report and discussion about the status of the Council-sponsored project to expand the World Virtual School. The Regional Education Officers in the Office of Overseas Schools will make a presentation on the activities and initiatives in the American-sponsored overseas schools. Public access to the Department of State is strictly controlled and space is limited. Members of the public who would like to attend the meeting should telephone Dr. Keith Miller, Director of the Office of Overseas Schools, at (202) 261-8200, no later than January 15, 2015, to make arrangements to attend the meeting and, if necessary, request reasonable accommodations. The public may take part in the discussion, time permitting and at the discretion of the chairman. |
