Secretary of State John Kerry will travel to Brussels, Belgium, on December 1 to take part in the December 2 NATO Foreign Ministerial and associated meetings.

On December 3, the Secretary will chair the first ministerial-level meeting of the Counter-ISIL Coalition, bringing together over sixty Coalition partners to discuss the political mechanism for our joint efforts to degrade and defeat ISIL. He will also take part in the sixth U.S.-EU Energy Council, the capstone of transatlantic energy cooperation, with Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz, EU High Representative and Vice President Federica Mogherini, EU Energy Union Vice President Maros Sefcovic, and EU Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy Miguel Canete.

Secretary Kerry will then travel to Basel, Switzerland, to take part in the OSCE Ministerial Council. The Secretary will meet with Swiss President Burkhalter to discuss the role the OSCE played this year in addressing the crisis and monitoring events in Ukraine.

On December 4, the Secretary will then travel to London, United Kingdom, to deliver remarks at the London Conference on Afghanistan, a platform for the government of Afghanistan to set out its vision for reform and for the international community to demonstrate enduring support for Afghanistan. The Secretary will hold bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the meeting, including with President Ghani and Chief Executive Officer Abdullah of Afghanistan, as well as Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif of Pakistan.
