U.S. Special Representative for the Arctic Admiral Robert Papp will visit Alaska August 12-19 to consult with policy-makers, local representatives, indigenous leaders, environmental organizations, business leaders, and others in America’s Arctic state. Admiral Papp’s meetings in Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Barrow will focus on climate change, economic, environmental, and security issues in the Arctic region as the United States prepares to assume the chairmanship of the Arctic Council in 2015.
