Today, goods and cargo movement around the world are done in 3 major ways namely: Truck Hiring, Truck Leasing & Truck Ownership. In a sequence of articles starting today, EazzyFreight will let you know everything about these 3 major ways:
1.Truck Hiring/Rental:
This refers to obtaining the temporary use of trucks for an agreed payment through a hiring agreement or contract. Trucks are usually obtained for use for a period of about 1-week, 1-month, 1-year and usually not longer than 3-years;
This service is usually used by companies with seasonal demand or project durations eg Events Management Companies, Real Estate Property Developers, Road & Civil Engineering Contractors, Logistics & Clearing & Forwarding companies etc
2. Truck Leasing:
This refers to obtaining the use of trucks for an agreed period of time through a lease agreement or contract. The trucks are usually obtained to be used for at least 3-years.
This is usually used by companies with long-term projects or contracts who want operational flexibility without necessarily purchasing their own trucks. It is also used where the equipment or things to be used are too expensive to purchase eg ships or planes.
3. Truck Ownership:
This refers to the purchasing and possession of trucks for business purposes. This is used by companies with a steady demand of goods and movement services.
