Press Releases: Special Presidential Envoy Allen Travel to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain 10/16/2015 03:57 PM EDT Special Presidential Envoy Allen Travel to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain Media Note Office of the Spokesperson Washington, DC October 16, 2015 Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL General John Allen will travel to the Gulf region for a week of meetings with regional partners to further coordinate Coalition efforts to Counter ISIL. From October 18, he will have a series of bilateral conversations with political and security officials in Riyadh, Kuwait City, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Manama on Coalition progress and regional issues. Deputy Special Presidential Envoy Brett McGurk will join General Allen in Abu Dhabi to participate in meetings for the remainder of the trip.
