Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-semitism and Acting Special Envoy to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to Travel to Vatican City and Rome to Participate in Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of "Nostra Aetate"

Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism Ira Forman and Acting Special Envoy to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Arsalan Suleman are traveling to Vatican City October 26-29, 2015. They will participate in an international conference hosted by the Pontifical Gregorian University marking the 50th anniversary of “Nostra Aetate,” the declaration of the Second Vatican Council on the relations of the Catholic church with non-Christian religions.

Special Envoy Forman and Acting Special Envoy Suleman will also meet with key religious leaders, civil society leaders, and journalists, and will participate in a panel at John Cabot University in Rome addressing the importance of interreligious engagement and combating intolerance.
