Foreign Service Institute Director Nancy McEldowney will travel to London, United Kingdom September 21-23, 2015, to exchange best practices in diplomatic training and learning innovation with representatives from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and its Diplomatic Academy. Ambassador McEldowney will speak on the topic of “Diplomacy in an Untethered World” with academics, government officials, civil society and private sector representatives at Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs. From London, Ambassador McEldowney will visit Warsaw, Poland September 23-25, 2015. She will participate in the 2015 International Forum on Diplomatic Training (IFDT). She will address the IFDT audience of deans and directors of diplomatic academies as part of an experts’ panel on “Preparing Diplomats for the Unknown” and will participate in discussions with foreign counterparts on innovations and challenges in diplomatic training.
