We welcome the formation of a new government in the Republic of Moldova. We look forward to working with Prime Minister Strelet and his cabinet and seeing rapid reforms that benefit the Moldovan people, who voted for a more prosperous future of European integration. The United States remains committed to assisting Moldova as it fights corruption and promotes reforms. As an observer to the 5+2 negotiation process, the United States will continue to seek a comprehensive and peaceful settlement to the Transnistria conflict, supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Moldova with special status for Transnistria. |
