On behalf of President Obama and the people of the United States, I send my very best wishes to the children and families of the Republic of Korea on Children’s Day this May 5. On this day, Korean families around the world, from Seoul to San Francisco, celebrate the blessing of children. While we spend time with our families, we also take the opportunity on this day to reflect on our responsibility to ensure that future generations are able to grow up in a safe, sustainable, and prosperous world. The United States is proud to work with our Korean allies to guarantee that our children have even more opportunities than we enjoy today. I again send my heartfelt congratulations to the people of the Republic of Korea, and I wish you and your families a joyous day. |
