The Department is the only federal agency ranked in the top 50. Over 20,000 American workers at large U.S. companies, government agencies, and nonprofit institutions were asked how likely they would be to recommend their employer to someone else. The Department of State was selected because its employees have the opportunity to go to work each day knowing that their work matters deeply. They also benefit from work/life balance programs, which include student-loan repayments, mentoring and training, a transit subsidy, leave bank and access to daycare.
