PREGNANT 10 YR OLD NDOLA GIRL TO GIVE BIRTH IN THE NEXT 72 HRS;
The 10 yr old girl who was defiled and subsequently became pregnant in Ndola's Kaloko township will be undergoing C-section in the next 72 hrs making her Zambia's youngest mother on record.
The minor, who is mentally retarded, was defiled by an unknown person last year and is now due to give birth.
The girl, name withheld to protect her identity, said she does not know who impregnated her but can visually identify him if she had to see him.
The Ndola District Child Protection Committee had relocated the 10-year-old pregnant girl from Kaloko Township to a secure and conducive institution of care to protect her from the unnecessary attention she had generated.
