Press Releases: U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue to be in Early July, in Beijing China 05/13/2014 08:04 AM EDT U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue to be in Early July, in Beijing China Media Note Office of the Spokesperson Washington, DC May 13, 2014 The U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of the Treasury today announced that the sixth meeting of the U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue (S&ED) will be held in Beijing, China in early July. Secretary of State John Kerry and Treasury Secretary Jacob J. Lew, as President Obama’s Special Representatives, will be joined for the Dialogue by their respective Chinese co-chairs, State Councilor Yang Jiechi and Vice Premier Wang Yang, along with members of the Chinese delegation and their U.S. colleagues.　 The Dialogue will focus on addressing the challenges and opportunities that both countries face on a wide range of bilateral, regional and global areas of immediate and long-term economic and strategic interest, and will follow up on discussions Secretary Kerry had in Beijing in February and that Secretary Lew had with Chinese leadership this week in Beijing.
