The Presidential directive to the treasury to pay Ksh 1.4Bln
in honor of court rulings in UK and Switzerland on
Anglo-leasing contracts exposes the greatest irony of our
time, a black hole in our country's financial history.
This is same president who rallied the whole African
continent against another foreign court called ICC then
chanting right wing patriotic catch phrases like "this
is neo-imperialism, Africa deserves respect bla bla
bla"
Even the argument of the president itself in his State of
The Nation address was uninspiring, flimsy, lame and
jaundiced in its pitch, form and tone leaving sane Kenyans
deceived, dissuaded and discontented. For heaven's
sake, President Uhuru was a chair of Parliamentary Accounts
Committee a while back and knows various exposés of the
committee document names of those who dragged Kenya into
this monumental scam—why not auction their property
like it happens in china and the proceeds paid off, why the
expediency and zeal to order for these payments even after
his deputy had publicly proclaimed that this was going to be
a sole discretion of parliament and after the Finance
secretary attempts to lobby Jubilee parliamentarians to
ratify the payments through parliament hit a brick wall.
This unfortunate happening comes in the wake of Attorney
general confirming that the government owes Kenyans a total
of Ksh 4.2Billion in compensations rewarded by the courts
locally, some which have dragged for ages and ages. Why the
slapdash, has foreign court rulings suddenly become superior
to our local courts? In the eyes of the president the
Anglo-leasing scammers are more important than Kenyans at
home rewarded by domestic courts for various atrocities
committed against them by the state, as Contradiction now
becomes an official state policy; the left doesn't
know what the right is doing such that they don't care
to tell even a good lie anymore.
The questionable act and its polluted accompanying arguments
leave us with no doubt but to believe that Jubilee could be
on a rat race to pay its campaign financiers. There can be
no any other logical justification considering the timing
and the sudden urgency.
Sickening is the riding justification that even the grand
coalition government paid sections of this money and so
jubilee is but part of the macabre relay. So what!!!! Does
it mean every problem jubilee inherited, it will absolutely
not remedy? If the Grand Coalition killed, Jubilee may just
commit a holocaust? If Grand coalition short-sightedness led
to hunger plague related deaths in Turkana then Jubilee will
double their effort in Baringo among other places to oversee
the worst form of same plague—call it DIGITAL
BACKWARDNESS.
We condemn fully condemn the trend President Uhuru is taking
the country with his incompetent body language. We equally
append our voices to the position taken by the Law Society
of Kenya and other voices of reason on the same—we
must rescue Kenya from this new low.
