Uganda's Anti Pornography Bill recently passed by parliament. Commonly refereed to as the "Mini Skirt Bill" the Bill will punish publication of pornographic content in Uganda. It will also punish "indecent" dressing. The Bill is likely to undermine media freedom, mainly the Tabloid newspapers in Uganda whose content is basically a target of the Bill. The Bill also targets ladies whose dressing can be considered "indecent". It is similar to the Idi Amini Indecent dressing decree, which banned mini skirts in Uganda during the dictators reign in the 1970s.
