SHOCKER: Exam papers go MISSING hours to kickoff in Kisii …. TRACED in Maseno
The Kenyan DAILY POST County News 13:56
Monday 4th November 2013 - Over 500 candidates from Kisii High School and St. Mary's Nyabururu Girls High School in Kisii County missed to sit for their exam today on time after KCSE papers went missing.
The exam was to start at 8am but by 11, the students had not yet started. According to the respective supervisors, they arrived early at the Kisii Central Police Station to collect the papers only to find them missing. All others for various schools in the County were there except for the two schools which happen to be National Schools.
Today the candidates were to sit for Biology Paper II and Agriculture Paper II exams. The papers were later traced to Maseno and the officials organised that they be transported via the road to respective schools.
Speaking to the media, KUPPET secretary, Edward Obwocha, cited sabotage in the incident and demanded a quick response from the relevant body. Obwocha wondered why these incidences only happen in Kisii County noting that just last week, exam papers for 14 centers in Kenyenya District went missing only to be found at Marani District some 50kms away.
