Our Kenyan laws ( Penal code, the children's Act,The Sexual Offenses Act) are very clear as to who is a child/underage . Unfortunately, abuse is too much because of poverty where parents cooperate or are "compensated" where mzee and the local administration (chiefs/headmen) eat something from the "alleged criminal" and the story ends there especially in rape.

I opine that women professionals and opinion leaders have not addressed the issue of rape and child abuse in our societies, local authorities or even in bunge.

Perhaps celebrities ,musicians and the media should strike a deal to address this issue that can certainly reduce the abuse.

Further, those women who have made it needs to fine time for their communities and address the young girls in schools and churches about family values, society and their life in general exposing thyself as examples!

*women watch as men mess them!
