Sensex jumps 481 points to hit 3 month high on monsoon, data cheer
Market benchmark Sensex surged by 481 points on Wednesday to 25,626.75 - its highest level in nearly three and a half months - led by gains in banking and auto stocks on forecast of an 'above normal' monsoon and positive macroeconomic data.

Emerging currencies up on oil rally, China trade mood
Commodity-linked currencies rose on the back of a surge in oil prices with upbeat China trade data also boosting mood, while the safe-haven yen slipped off 17-month highs against the dollar. News of a deal between Russia and Saudi Arabia to cap oil output lifted crude prices to their highest in 2016.

India's wheat imports to hit decade high as weather woes curb output: Survey
Wheat arrivals into India are likely to reach 2.75 million tonnes in the year to June 2017, according to the survey of 11 analysts and traders. Imports would have been even higher, but surplus stocks from a series of bumper harvests since 2007 are expected to help pick up some of the slack in output, they said.
