The Department of State released today Foreign Relations of the United States, 1969–1976, Volume E–14, Part 2, Documents on Arms Control and Nonproliferation, 1973–1976. This volume is part of a Foreign Relations subseries that documents the most important foreign policy issues of the Richard M. Nixon and Gerald R. Ford presidential administrations. This volume documents the Nixon and Ford administration’s primarily multilateral arms control policy between 1973 and 1976. Topics include the review of biological and chemical warfare policies, the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and Threshold Test Ban Treaty, approaches to nuclear testing and test-ban proposals, nuclear safeguards, sales of nuclear equipment, environmental modification, and ratification of the 1925 Geneva Protocol, which outlawed all chemical and biological weapons. This volume was compiled and edited by Kristin L.
