16/09/2015 - African Development Bank Group President, Akinwumi A. Adesina, received Benin's President, Thomas Boni Yayi, on September 15, 2015 at the Bank's headquarters in Abidjan. Boni Yayi said he "had come to deliver a congratulatory message to the AfDB's newly elected President." He also said Benin needs the Bank's assistance in vital sectors such as energy, transport and agriculture.
16/09/2015 - Although Kenya produces just enough power to meet its current demand for households and businesses tied to the grid, it is constantly plagued with power outages that cause not only inconveniences, but a loss of income for those businesses that depend upon it. A large part of the problem is the country's reliance on hydropower, which fuels about half of Kenya's installed capacity.
