Secretary of State John Kerry will travel to Beijing, People’s Republic of China, from May 16 to 17. While in Beijing, Secretary Kerry will meet senior leaders of the Chinese government to advance U.S. priorities ahead of the Strategic and Economic Dialogue this summer and the planned visit to the United States of President Xi Jinping this fall. Secretary Kerry will then visit Seoul, Republic of Korea, from May 17 to 18. He will meet President Park Geun-hye and Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se to discuss a range of global, regional, and bilateral issues, as well as President Park’s upcoming visit to the United States. On May 19, Secretary Kerry will travel to Seattle, Washington to deliver remarks on trade, including the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
