Dr. Marzouki receives FFC delegation in Tunis
The Canada Boat to Gaza and the Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC) are excited about sailing soon to challenge the illegal Israeli blockade of Gaza. Financially, we are almost there, and we thank you for your generous support, but we need to ask again for your help so we meet our target date. Your donations go directly to fund the project and will help us in our efforts to end this inhumane blockade and to end the suffering of Palestinians living in an open air prison - Gaza.
Following our participation in the World Social Forum in Tunis, Dr. Moncef Marzouki (the ex-president of Tunis) announced his full support of the Freedom Flotilla III and has agreed to be on board one of the FFC ships that will sail to Gaza within the coming 3 months. Our international coalition is strong and growing. "I am deeply saddened by the situation in Gaza and I fully support Freedom Flotilla III", Dr. Marzouki stated*.
The humanitarian situation in Gaza is more critical than ever and is worsening by the day. Media apathy and inaction by most governments puts the burden on civil society organizations, to take the lead in challenging the blockade. Our flotillas will continue to sail until the illegal blockade of Gaza is permanently lifted.
Together we can end the blockade.

Le Bateau canadien pour Gaza et la Coalition de la flottille de la liberté ont hâte de naviguer sous peu afin de défier le Blocus illégal d'Israël sur Gaza. Financièrement, nous y sommes presque arrivés et nous vous remercions de votre généreux support, mais nous demandons une fois de plus votre aide pour atteindre notre objectif d'ici notre date buttoir. Vos dons vont directement dans le soutien du projet et vont nous aider dans notre effort de mettre fin à ce Blocus inhumain et mettre fin à la souffrance des palestinien-nes vivant dans une prison à ciel ouvert – Gaza.
Suivant notre participation au Forum Social Mondial à Tunis, Dr. Moncef Marzouki (l'ancien président de la Tunisie) a annoncé son support complet à la troisième flottille de la liberté et a accepté d'être à bord d'un des bateaux du FFC qui va naviguer vers Gaza dans les prochains 3 mois. Notre coalition internationale est forte et croissante. «Je suis profondément attristé par la situation à Gaza et je supporte complètement le Flottille de la liberté III», à annoncé Dr. Marzouki.
La situation humanitaire à Gaza est plus critique que jamais et se détériore chaque jour. L'apathie médiatique et l'inaction de la majorité des gouvernements mettent la charge aux organisations de la société civile de prendre les devants dans la lutte contre le Blocus. Notre flotte va continuer à naviguer jusqu'à ce que le Blocus illégal de Gaza soit levé de façon permanente.
Comme les dates de départ sont proches, nous avons besoin de votre soutien, moralement et financièrement, plus que jamais.
