Press release - Youth Employment Initiative: debate on how to make €1 billion available in 2015 09-02-2015 08:00 PM EET Plenary sessions : The latest plan to make €1 billion in Youth Employment Initiative (YEI) funding – i.e. one-third of the total for 2014-2020 - available in 2015 alone will be debated with Commissioner Thyssen on Tuesday at 10.00. This plan could deliver a thirtyfold increase in the funding made available for EU member states in 2015 to support their efforts to get 650,000 young people into work.
