Throughout November, the State Department is working with passport agencies across the United States to promote the Passport to the World initiative to encourage U.S. students to get passports.

First held in 2000, International Education Week, co-led by the Department of State and the Department of Education, is now celebrated in more than 100 countries worldwide. We encourage more U.S. students to study abroad, and we continue to welcome international students to the United States. Throughout the week, students, educators and citizens will be celebrating in classrooms, on campuses, and in communities worldwide.
