Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations Hosts Viewing of Dawn in the Creeks: A Niger Delta Legacy

The Department of State’s Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations (CSO) will host a viewing of Dawn in the Creeks: A Niger Delta Legacy on September 10, 2014. Recognizing the strong role of media in society, CSO helped launch Dawn in the Creeks as a unique TV series showcasing stories of non-violent problem-solving and peaceful cooperation between Niger Delta communities and local governments.

Renowned Nollywood director Jeta Amata will join the Assistant Secretary for Conflict and Stabilization Operations Rick Barton and the U.S. Consul General, Lagos Jeffrey Hawkins for a discussion of the effort.

Remarks will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the George Marshall Center at the U.S. Department of State.
