Mashuhuda wanasema, ajali hiyo imesababishwa na gari aina ya dalala iliyokuwa ikitokea maeneo ya Tegeta kuja Mwenge. Gari hiyo ililigonga dalala nyingine kabla ya kulivamia roli na baadaye gari nyingine aina ya Toyota Discover.
