Secretary Kerry’s Deputy Special Representative for Global Partnerships Thomas Debass will participate in a Google+ Hangout on the 2014 Global Partnerships Week (GP3) at 1:30 p.m. (EDT) on Friday, March 28, 2014. The Hangout will also feature representatives from across the private sector and academia, including Matthew Swift, Chairman and Co-Founder of the Concordia Summit, Kingsley Aikins, CEO of Diaspora Matters, and Mary Margaret Frank, Associate Professor at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. The participants will discuss the importance of GP3, which is led by Secretary Kerry’s Office of Global Partnerships in collaboration with its partners, including the Concordia Summit and .CO Internet, as well as the critical role public-private partnerships play in promoting diplomacy and development around the world. eputy Special Representative Debass will also discuss the activities and events that took place throughout the week that celebrated existing partnerships and encouraged creative collaboration and new ideas. Global Partnerships Week recognizes public-private partnership practitioners who strive to tackle major global challenges through market and mission-driven partnerships. uring one week each March, GP3 inspires public and private organizations everywhere through local, national, and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as shared value collaborators.
