Some teacher at my daughter's school thought he was dealing with his usual Grade 11 (Form 3) students that he's used to every year. Every year at this time he gives his Form 3 students a Math problem and the winner, the first student to solve it, gets $20. But it has to be solved in 5 min or less. A lot of times, no kid makes the 5 minutes deadline so the teacher gets to keep his cash.
My daughter solved the problem in slightly less than 3 min. I knew that this kid could handle her Math but this shocked me. Even I, an engineer, need 5 minutes or more yawa !!!!! As a result, the kid has her Saturday planned out to go buy some clothes that she had in mind. I'm not complaining. Let her use the money anyway she pleases. Send Emails to wanabidii@googlegroups.com
