[Mabadiliko] English Pronunciation

Sorry folks but yesterday I watched a Senior Kenya Police official being interviewed and he was trying his best to sound more English than a true Englishman/woman. He made several pronunciation errors but one that stuck to my mind was the word : Determine.

He pronounced it Di-ta-main  (I'm using Swahili as a base here).

This is wrong.

He should have said  Di-ta-min  That is how the true Englishmen/women pronounce it.

I apologize to those who already know the correct way but have to endure this e-mail.
