Job opportunity: Fair Water Futures Project Manager, Water Witness International, Tanzania.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead this innovative project which will deliver water security for vulnerable communities in East Africa and test new approaches to development assistance. Water Witness International (www.waterwitness.org) has secured funding from DFID's Global Poverty Action Fund for the Fair Water Futures Project 2013-16 and is seeking a suitably qualified and dynamic Project Manager to lead the work in Tanzania from April 2013. Through action research, social audit and accountability monitoring in partnership with communities, business, local NGOs and government, the project will incentivise improved service delivery and assist poor communities in Tanzania to obtain legal rights and activate statutory protection for the water resources they need to escape poverty.
