13/04/2016 - The President of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB), Akinwumi Adesina, visited Pretoria, South Africa, April 7-8, 2016, where he strengthened alliances with stakeholders in line with the Bank new corporate priorities – the High 5s. The President also positioned the Bank as a key development partner by leveraging resources to support the African countries in implementation of the Bank's "High 5s" (Light up and power Africa, Feed Africa, Integrate Africa, Industrialize Africa, and Improve the quality of life for the people of Africa). The African Development Bank (AfDB), in collaboration with the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), will organize the ENABLE (Empowering Novel Agri-Business-Led Employment) Youth Program Design Workshop on April 21-22, 2016 in Abuja, Nigeria. Two hundred participants from more than 30 countries are expected to attend the two-day workshop, which features prominent speakers, including private sector industrialists Aliko Dangote and Tony Elumelu, Ministers of Agriculture and Ministers of Youth from 10 African countries.
