Tu B'Shvat appears in the Talmud (Rosh Hashanah 2a) as one of the four "new years" in the Jewish calendar. As "new year for the trees," Tu B'Shvat is the cut-off date in the Hebrew calendar for calculating the age of a fruit-bearing tree and determining all the Halachot and Mitzvot that will be performed with them.

It is there for a special time, opportunity and Chag for planting fruit trees in Israel and this year - on Tu B'Shevat (THIS Monday Jan 25th!!) even though in some places it is still the cold winter and may even be snowing! here in Israel the trees are blooming! and we will be planting as usual, beginning with an entire vineyard in memory of Ezra Schwartz.

Ezra's parents and grandparents fully support and endorse this project! – (Click here to see a one minute video from them about this project and watch them plant the first trees!!)

As you probably recall, this murder made international headlines when the New England Patriots – in an NFL game watched by millions of fans – stood in a moment of silence for Ezra.

Ezra was born and raised in Sharon, Massachusetts and was a proud fan of the Patriots and Robert Kraft, owner of the team, felt that this was his way to memorialize and remember him.

Now you can do something in memory of Ezra as well by simply CLICKING HERE to plant a tree in the new Ezra Schwartz Vineyard – located very close to the site of his tragic murder.

ADDED BONUS: This is the first Tu B'Shevat after Shmittah (the Sabbatical year) so Israeli farmers are looking to plant much more than usual and you can share in their blessing and holy work.

Please join in this worldwide project to remember Ezra Schwartz and bring new life to the Land of Israel.

Note: Our usual price to plant trees is $45 per tree but we were fortunate to have received a commitment from a dear friend who told us to LOWER THE PRICE to just $30 per tree so that everyone can afford to plant at least one. He will personally make up the difference on each and every tree! NOW is the time!! CLICK HERE
