Tonga and the United States have a long history together, built on a foundation of cooperation and common interest, on mutual respect and shared values. The United States welcomes the Kingdom of Tonga’s commitments to promoting a safe, sustainable and clean Pacific Ocean. We appreciate the contributions Tonga has made to global security. We recognize the richness of Tongan culture and its contributions to American society.
