Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Richard Stengel will travel to London, United Kingdom, October 27-29, for a meeting of the Counter-ISIL Coalition Communications Working Group. He will co-chair discussions with government officials and technology partners to strengthen collaboration in the fight against ISIL. The Under Secretary will also join a cultural heritage protection event sponsored by the British government to stress the importance of safeguarding cultural heritage from becoming a tool for terrorist financing. As part of the Department’s expanding efforts to support independent media and press freedom in Eastern Europe, Under Secretary Stengel will also meet with London-based media organizations, think tanks, and journalists.
