On September 11, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs Todd Chapman and Ambassador Mizanur Rahman, Secretary (Bilateral & Consular),chaired the fourth annual U.S.-Bangladesh Dialogue on Security Issues in Washington, D.C. The dialogue reflects our growing defense relationship with Bangladesh, and our shared commitment to peace and prosperity in the region. The discussions touched on a broad range of topics, including strategic priorities and regional issues, security assistance, cyber-security, peacekeeping, military-to-military cooperation, and counter-terrorism. Participants also discussed humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, maritime and border security, and related issues.
