Bond will visit The Hague, June 8– 10.  She will lead the U.S. delegation to the fourth meeting of the Special Commission on the Practical Operation of the 1993 Hague Intercountry Adoption Convention, with representatives from more than 100 countries.  Acting Assistant Secretary Bond will participate in discussions regarding trends in intercountry adoption and finding ways to make the intercountry adoption process run smoothly and efficiently to serve the best interests of the child.  For press inquiries, please contact CAPRESSREQUESTS@state.gov.
