Daily reports from Tariq Rauf

The 9th Review Conference of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) is taking place at the United Nations in New York from 27 April to 22 May 2015. SIPRI expert Tariq Rauf is writing comprehensive daily reports from the conference that are available to you online. Tariq Rauf is Director of SIPRI’s Disarmament, Arms Control and Non-Proliferation Programme and has attended all NPT meetings since 1987. Rauf's daily reports from the Review Conference provide highlights of the day as well as personal assessments.

SIPRI-Swedish MFA event at the NPT in New York
On the opening day of the 2015 NPT Review Conference in New York, SIPRI organized a discussion forum entitled ‘Promoting a Successful Outcome of the 2015 NPT Review Conference’ with the collaboration of the MFA of Sweden. Seminar on nuclear disarmament and the upcoming NPT conference with the Swedish Foreign Minister
Ahead of the NPT Review Conference, SIPRI in partnership with the Swedish MFA, the Swedish Institute of International Affairs (SIIA) and the Swedish Network against Nuclear Weapons, hosted Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallström and a distinguished panel, which discussed prospects for progress at the upcoming NPT conference (in Swedish).

SIPRI hosts workshop on promoting a successful outcome at the 2015 NPT Review Conference SIPRI, in cooperation with the Swedish MFA and the Permanent Representation of Sweden to International Organizations in Vienna, held a workshop on promoting a successful outcome of the 2015 NPT Review Conference at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna.
