Spanish language information regarding the application for a United States passport is now available via a direct link from the Bureau of Consular Affairs’ website: www.Travel.State.Gov/Pasaporte

The Office of Passport Services in the Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA) is the Department of State’s largest domestic public service program and issued over 14 million passports to U.S. citizens in 2014. The decision to translate certain online passport information into Spanish was based on internal assessments of the passport applicant customer base and statistics from the United States Census Bureau, and supports CA’s efforts to improve customer service and operations.

The limited Spanish content includes specific requirements for first-time adult passport applicants, adult passport renewals, passports for minors under 16 years old, and young adults 16-17 years old. The new content supplements Spanish language passport information already offered via a toll-free telephone line which connects applicants to bi-lingual customer service representatives at the National Passport Information Center.

For Spanish language information on how to apply for a U.S. passport, passport application fees, and other travel information visit, Travel.State.Gov/Pasaporte. For Spanish language information via telephone, call the National Passport Information Center toll-free at 1-877-487-2778.
