Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken Travel to Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Tunisia April 5 - 10

Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken will travel next week to Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Tunisia to meet with a wide range of government officials and non-governmental experts to discuss key political, economic, and security issues.

On April 5-6, Deputy Secretary Blinken will meet with senior government officials in Beirut as well as civil society representatives working on humanitarian and education issues in Lebanon.

Deputy Secretary Blinken will travel April 7 to Riyadh, where he will meet with senior Saudi officials.

On April 8, he will then travel to Abu Dhabi and meet with senior Emirati government officials to discuss our continued cooperation on a wide range of bilateral, regional, and global issues, including our ongoing work as part of the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL.

In Muscat, April 9, Deputy Secretary Blinken will meet senior Omani officials to discuss a broad range of bilateral, regional, and global issues.

Deputy Secretary Blinken’s final stop will be in Tunis on April 10 to meet with senior Tunisian Government officials and civil society representatives. Deputy Secretary Blinken’s visit reinforces the United States’ steadfast support for Tunisia’s democracy in the face of the recent Bardo Museum attack.
