The Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations Announces the Design Architect for the New U.S. Embassy in Niamey, Niger

The multi-building complex will be situated on a 10-acre site in the neighborhood of Yanta haut, and will include a chancery, a Marine Security Guard residence, a utility building, parking, community facilities, and street improvements.A design/build construction award to complete the design and build the facility is anticipated in fiscal year 2015.

The mission of the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations is to provide safe, secure, and functional facilities that represent the U.S. government to the host nation and support our staff in the achievement of U.S. foreign policy objectives. These facilities should represent American values and the best in American architecture, engineering, technology, sustainability, art, culture, and construction execution.
