The Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs, Charles Rivkin, will travel to Mumbai and New Delhi, India, November 13 - 20, where he will meet with business leaders and government officials to discuss areas and opportunities for enhanced economic engagement. While in New Delhi, the Assistant Secretary will participate in the India - U.S. Technology Summit to highlight the fundamental role of science and technology in propelling economic growth, innovation, and entrepreneurship. This is the first time that the United States has partnered with India on the Technology Summit. In Mumbai, Assistant Secretary Rivkin will speak at the Asia Society about fostering an environment for investment and inspiring innovation. He also will visit a film studio where he will draw on his background as a former media sector CEO to highlight the importance of intellectual property rights and opportunities for collaboration between the two largest film and television hubs in the world: Hollywood and Bollywood.
