The U.S. Government will participate in NETmundial - Global Multistakeholder Meeting on the Future of Internet Governance to be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil on April 23-24. NETmundial is jointly organized by the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee and the 1Net and will bring together participants from civil society, governments, academia, and the private sector to discuss a roadmap for the future of global Internet governance.

The U.S. Delegation, led by the White House Cybersecurity Coordinator Michael Daniel, includes members of the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunication and Information Administration.

The U.S. Government was pleased to serve as a member of the High-Level Multistakeholder Committee along with representatives of 10 other countries (Argentina, Brazil, France, Ghana, Germany, India, Indonesia, South Africa, Tunisia and Turkey) and twelve members of civil society, the private sector, academia and the technical community.

The U.S. Government looks forward to collaborating with hundreds of other stakeholders at NETmundial to develop a shared vision for the multistakeholder model of Internet governance that seeks further evolution to an increasingly open, inclusive, and responsive system.
